Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Ibeju - Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician Technician to join our maintenance team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and production equipment within a manufacturing environment.
  • The ideal candidate must have experience working in a bottling company or water production factory, possess the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, and be willing to relocate to the Lekki Free Zone axis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production lines, bottling equipment, pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, and control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot motor control centers (MCCs), electrical panels, VFDs, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations and factory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support machine installation, commissioning, and improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment performance issues.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure continuous plant operations.

Requirements
Education:

  • OND, HND, Technical Diploma, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience as an Electrician Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mandatory experience working in a bottling company, beverage manufacturing plant, or water production factory.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining industrial production equipment and electrical systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, control panels, and automation equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining PLCs, VFDs, sensors, contactors, relays, and industrial control circuits.
  • Proficiency in the use of electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance and fault-finding techniques.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Must have worked in a bottling company, beverage manufacturing plant, or water factory.
  • Must have experience maintaining factory production equipment and industrial electrical systems.
  • Must be willing and ready to relocate to the Lekki Free Zone axis, Lagos.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trade Test Certification (I, II, III) or equivalent.
  • Experience with bottling lines, water treatment systems, packaging machines, and conveyor systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation will be an added advantage.
