We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Finance Officer
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Monitor bank transactions and reconcile bank statements
- Support inbudgeting and forecasting process
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Assist in internal and external audits
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing of tax and statutory obligations
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to the finance manager
- Contribute to financial risk management strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelors or masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or ACCA is an advantage)
- Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good organizational and time-management abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
