Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant/Store Keeper to join our hotel team in Karu, Abuja. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial records, monitoring inventory, maintaining accurate stock levels, and supporting the efficient operation of the hotel's stores and accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Duties:
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Prepare cash, bank, and sales reconciliation reports.
- Monitor hotel revenues, expenses, and petty cash transactions.
- Process invoices, payments, and supplier accounts.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
Store Keeping Duties:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
- Issue materials and supplies to departments based on approved requisitions.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory reports.
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of hotel supplies.
- Report damaged, expired, or missing items promptly.
- Coordinate with suppliers and management regarding inventory needs.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess an OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounting, store keeping, or hospitality operations is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
