We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fiber Technician

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Duties

• Effectively manage Contractors and supervise projects to ensure projects are delivered as scheduled and within budget/scope.
• Routine inspection of projects, clearing of snags on site and As-Built documentation.
• Ensure quality compliance and mitigation of all identify risk.
• Activation of new fiber circuit/link.
• Interface with Customer/Supervisor to address key issue affecting project delivery and expectation.
• Communicate project progress to Project Team Lead & NOC staff on regular basis.
• Troubleshoot with priority the root cause, share pictures from site and communicate ETR to Customer Support and Project Team Lead on any link assigned.
• Liaise with BBC and Brainshare Team to ensure early restoration of link outage.
• Carryout Technical Site Survey and send report to Key Account Holder/Sales Staff and Project Team Lead.
• Provide support in carrying out maintenance on D2D infrastructures.
• Trouble shooting and splicing of optic fiber cable.
• Leverage networking tools to identify & mitigate networks anomalies.
• Ensure stable & reliable network services.
• Talk Client through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until they have solved a technical issue.
• Request and stock project supplies to avoid any shortages.
• Any other Tasks assigned to you by the Management.

Personal Qualities & Qualifications
Job Holder need to be:

• Degree holder in Civil Engineering, Elect-Elector related field.
• Candidate must possess excellent analytical and presentation skills.
• Must have in-depth understanding about fiber optic deployment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demand on the Job:

• Must have at least 2 year cognate experience in Optic Fiber networking from telecommunication related organisation especially ISP firm.
• Ability and wiliness to work long hours and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work under none or minimal supervision.
• Maybe required to work weekends and in shifts.

Age Bracket:

• 22 – 40 years of age.
