We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Transport Officer / Driver

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

  • The Transport Officer plays a key role in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient movement of goods, staff, and materials.
  • This role goes beyond driving. It also involves route planning, logistics coordination, and transport sourcing when needed.
  • The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable using basic digital tools for communication and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles for the transportation of goods, staff, and materials
  • Plan efficient routes based on delivery schedules, road conditions, and cost considerations
  • Coordinate with the supply chain team to adjust transport plans as needed
  • Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of items in line with safety standards
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
  • Track and document trips, fuel usage, mileage, and incidents accurately
  • Source and coordinate third - party transport providers when company vehicles are unavailable
  • Maintain clear communication using tools such as Google Maps, WhatsApp, and email for tracking and updates.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of WAEC / SSCE or OND qualification.
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience in driving, logistics, or transport coordination.
  • Valid Nigerian driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to use smartphones and basic digital tools for communication and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and record - keeping skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a supply chain, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with vendor sourcing or third - party transport coordination.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
