Job Title: Wire Drawing Operator

Location: Agbara, Ogun

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a skilled Wire-Drawing Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor wire drawing machines for efficient and high-quality production.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure wires are produced to exact specifications while maintaining safety and minimizing machine downtime.

Key Responsibilties

  • Set up wire drawing machines by selecting and installing the appropriate dies.
  • Apply proper lubrication to ensure smooth wire passage and reduce friction during operation. Start and manage the wire drawing process, ensuring consistent production flow.
  • Continuously monitor machine parameters such as tension, alignment, and speed to prevent wire breakage or defects.
  • Measure finished wire diameter using micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments to ensure compliance with production specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting of machinery.
  • Identify and resolve minor operational issues to maintain productivity.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality control records.
  • Adhere strictly to workplace safety standards and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess an SSCE / OND qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience operating wire drawing or similar industrial machines.
  • Good understanding of machine setup, die selection, and wire production processes.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges.
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical or industrial operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to machine handling.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
