African Fertilizer and Chemicals Nigeria Limited is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: BRC Operator

Location: Agbara, Ogun

Job Summary

• A BRC Operator runs heavy machinery used to cut, bend, and shape reinforcement steel (often referred to as BRC wire mesh or rebar) used in the construction and manufacturing industries.
• They ensure the produced steel components meet strict industry, safety, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Setting up, calibrating, and operating automated steel bending and cutting machinery.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpreting technical drawings and engineering plans to fabricate steel structures accurately.
• Quality Control: Inspecting the final steel output to verify dimensional accuracy and checking for defects.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Performing routine machinery checks, lubricating moving parts, and resolving basic mechanical issues.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhering to manufacturing and facility protocols, ensuring a safe shop floor.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an SSCE / OND qualification with 2 years experience.
• Experience: Proven track record in operating steel fabrication and bending machines.
• Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and the ability to measure materials precisely.
• Education: Typically requires a High School Diploma, ITI, or technical/vocational training in mechanical or industrial fields.
• Physical & Safety: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and strictly comply with ISO safety guidelines.
