We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Group General Manager

Location: Abuja

Job Description
Strategic Leadership:

  • Drive the overall corporate strategy in alignment with the vision and directives of the CEO and Board.
  • Ensure synergy across operations, sales, expansion, and support functions for sustainable business growth.
  • Champion organizational culture, performance excellence, and accountability.

Business Growth & Expansion:

  • Provide direct leadership and oversight for market penetration and expansion strategies into new countries and regions.
  • Ensure profitable growth in all existing countries of operation while leading feasibility studies for new territories.
  • Monitor revenue performance across divisions and establish scalable growth models.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee daily operations of all departments to ensure efficiency, compliance with internal policies, and adherence to external regulations.
  • Introduce systems and processes that enhance productivity, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Financial Stewardship:

  • Work closely with the Finance Unit to monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability across business units.
  • Ensure sound financial practices that align with corporate goals and expansion objectives.

Performance & People Management:

  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of senior managers across departments.
  • Establish KPIs and evaluation frameworks for General Managers and departmental heads.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through accountability, rewards, and succession planning.

Oversight Functions:
You will have direct oversight across the following functions and departments:

  • Sales & Business Development – Driving sales strategies, performance, and closure across countries.
  • Regional Operations & Expansion Units – Managing operations in existing markets (Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Benin, and others), ensuring efficiency, compliance, and profitability, while spearheading entry into new regions.
  • Technical & Maintenance Services – Supervising elevator installation, after-sales service, and maintenance standards across all regions.
  • Finance & Accounts – Overseeing financial planning, reporting, and accountability in collaboration with the CFO/Head of Finance.
  • Human Resources & Administration – Ensuring people management, organizational structure, and administrative processes align with business goals.
  • Marketing & Digital Strategy – Coordinating brand visibility, campaigns, and digital engagement to support sales and expansion.
  • Customer Relations & CRM – Overseeing customer service, retention, and relationship management to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Compliance & Legal – Ensuring business operations comply with statutory, Labor, and industry regulations across jurisdictions.

Collaboration Functions:
The GGM is expected to work closely with:

  • The CEO (direct reporting line and strategic alignment).
  • The Board of Directors (as delegated by the CEO).
  • All General Managers and Departmental Heads to drive synergy and execution.
  • External stakeholders including regulators, partners, and clients to strengthen business reputation and market presence.
  • You will also be expected to work closely and collaboratively all departments across countries of operation.

Academic Qualifications
Minimum Requirement: 

  • Master’s Degree (MBA or M.Sc.) in Business Administration, Management, or Strategic Leadership plus Professional certifications.

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum: 10–15 years of progressive experience in management, operations, or business leadership with at least 8 years in a senior or executive management role (e.g., General Manager, Director Operations, or Director Sales).
  • Experience across sales, business development, strategy, or operational leadership is a must.
