Job Title: Plant Manager

Location: Iganmu, Lagos

Job Description

  • A Plant Head is responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing and processing operations within the plant, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The role focuses on driving production excellence, maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and optimizing resource utilization across the facility.
  • The incumbent will lead plant operations by managing production planning, inventory control, and procurement of materials while ensuring adherence to product specifications. Additionally, the role involves fostering a strong safety culture, building high-performing teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve operational and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support production operations to ensure adherence to quality standards and product specifications
  • Monitor and manage production outputs against targets and take corrective actions for deviations
  • Plan and schedule processing activities to ensure cost-effective and timely production
  • Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other operational inputs
  • Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health, hygiene, and safety standards across the plant
  • Drive a strong “safety-first” culture to ensure employee wellbeing
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers for smooth plant operations
  • Implement company policies, processes, and operational best practices
  • Promote effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration within the workforce

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field

Experience:

  • 8–15 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or processing operations
  • Proven experience in managing plant-level operations independently
  • Experience in production planning, inventory management, and procurement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and drive operational excellence
