We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Issuing Operations Specialist

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objectives

• To support the Issuing Operations team in the preparation, processing, and monitoring of EMV data and card personalization activities, while ensuring accuracy, compliance with standards, and timely delivery in line with agreed service levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving card personalization jobs from banks via the helpdesk and acknowledge job receipt under supervision.
• Support the preparation and organization of EMV data files required for card personalization.
• Upload and drop personalization jobs for external personalization bureaus on secure FTP locations, following approved procedures.
• Assist in generating EMV data preparation reports and customer service unit reports for banks.
• Support daily job tracking and assist in compiling daily operational statistics for review by the supervisor.
• Help generate required files such as UAM, text, and ODBC files for personalization under guidance.
• Assist in recreating EMV personalization data (CIM and text files) when required.
• Provide first-level support in identifying and escalating issues on the UP Card Factory solution.
• Assist in routine checks and basic maintenance of PIN mailer printers and promptly report faults to the supervisor.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of assigned tasks and completed jobs.
• Adhere strictly to information security, data confidentiality, and industry standards.

KPI

• Timely support of EMV data preparation activities within agreed SLA.
• Accuracy and completeness of assigned EMV data and reports.
• Proper documentation and escalation of operational issues.
• Compliance with prescribed EMV and PIN mailer standards.

Requirements

• Education: OND in Computer science, computer Engineering or related courses.
• Others: Professional Qualifications – added advantage
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience

Key Competency Requirement

• Knowledge: Basic understanding of card operations or payment systems (added advantage).

Skill/Competencies:

• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access – mandatory).
• Willingness to learn card personalization and EMV processes.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive data.
• Ability to work extended hours when required.
