We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Branch Manager

Location: Uyo - Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

  • We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations, sales performance, and administrative activities of the branch.
  • The ideal candidate will assist in driving business growth, ensuring operational efficiency, supervising branch staff, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • The Assistant Branch Manager will also act on behalf of the Branch Manager in their absence to ensure seamless branch operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Branch Manager in the daily management and supervision of branch operations.
  • Assist in implementing sales strategies to achieve branch revenue, profitability, and business growth targets.
  • Supervise branch employees, provide guidance, and ensure high levels of productivity and performance.
  • Monitor daily sales activities and support initiatives to improve customer acquisition and retention.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations promptly.
  • Assist in monitoring cash management, inventory control, and asset security within the branch.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational and performance reports.
  • Support staff training, onboarding, coaching, and performance management initiatives.
  • Monitor branch expenses and promote efficient utilization of resources.
  • Conduct routine branch inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to identify business opportunities and implement strategies to increase market share.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of branch activities.
  • Assist in resolving operational issues and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Perform the duties of the Branch Manager in their absence and ensure continuity of branch operations.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in branch operations, retail management, sales, or business administration, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and team management skills.
  • Good understanding of branch operations, customer service, sales, and financial controls.
  • Proven ability to support the achievement of sales and operational targets.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem - solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Customer - focused with strong commercial and business development acumen.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and resolve operational challenges effectively.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training, business meetings, and operational support where required.
