Role Summary
- Data-Lead Africa is seeking a creative, proactive, and enthusiastic Social Media Manager & Content Creator Intern to support our digital marketing efforts.
- The successful candidate will help create engaging content, manage social media platforms, and contribute to growing our online community.
- This internship offers practical experience in content creation, social media management, digital marketing, and brand communication.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation:
- Design engaging graphics and visual content for social media.
- Create and edit short-form videos, reels, and stories.
- Write compelling captions and social media copy.
- Develop content aligned with Data-Lead Africa's brand and programs.
Social Media Management:
- Schedule and publish content across social media platforms.
- Monitor engagement and interact with followers professionally.
- Identify emerging social media trends and content opportunities.
- Support community growth and audience engagement initiatives.
Marketing & Communications Support:
- Assist with promoting training programs, events, and workshops.
- Support social media campaigns and digital marketing activities.
- Conduct competitor and industry research.
- Contribute ideas to improve online visibility and engagement.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube).
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar content creation tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience managing personal, school, volunteer, or business social media accounts is an advantage.
