Job Title: Business Adviser
Location: Lafia, Nasarawa
About the Role
- As a Business Adviser, you will work closely with business owners, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide strategic guidance.
- Your expertise will enable clients to develop robust business plans, navigate financial challenges, and implement effective marketing strategies.
- The role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential barriers and delivering innovative solutions that align with each client's goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive business assessments to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Advise clients on business planning, financial management, marketing, and operational improvement.
- Support clients in accessing funding opportunities, grants, and other financial resources.
- Develop and deliver workshops, seminars, and resources that enhance client knowledge and skills.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and act as their advocate within the business community.
- Produce regular reports on client progress and program outcomes.
Person Specification
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and inspire confidence in a diverse client base.
- You should be organised, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Previous experience in business development, consultancy, or a related field will be highly advantageous.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience in business advisory, consultancy, or a related area.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess business performance and identify improvement areas.
- Knowledge of financing options and experience supporting clients to secure funding.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills for delivering training and workshops.
- Competency in using business software and digital tools to aid client development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
