Position Summary

• Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Managing Director (MD) to provide strategic leadership, drive business growth, and ensure operational excellence across the organization.
• The Managing Director will be responsible for the overall leadership, profitability, strategic direction, and sustainable growth of the company.
• The ideal candidate must possess strong experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare operations, business development, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's strategic business plans and growth initiatives.
• Provide leadership and direction to all business functions including Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Human Resources.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, market expansion, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and corporate governance principles.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, healthcare stakeholders, distributors, and strategic partners.
• Lead organizational transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee budgeting, financial performance, risk management, and investment decisions.
• Champion a high-performance culture and strengthen leadership capability across the organization.
• Represent the company in industry engagements, government relations, and key business forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biological Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 15 years progressive leadership experience, with at least 8 years in a senior executive role within pharmaceutical, healthcare manufacturing, FMCG, or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, regulatory compliance, and healthcare market dynamics.
• Proven track record of driving business growth, profitability, and organizational transformation.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Strong financial acumen and corporate governance experience.
