Description

  • They are looking to hire a Business Development & Sales Officerwho will take ownership of revenue growth within assigned business units.

Key Responsibilites
Business Development & Sales:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned sectors through networking, referrals, digital platforms, and field activities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Build and maintain a strong, active sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations to promote the company’s products, properties, and services.
  • Prepare professional sales proposals, quotations, and business presentations tailored to client needs.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with clients, corporate organisations, investors, distributors, property buyers, and key stakeholders.
  • Understand client needs and provide suitable product, service, or investment recommendations.
  • Ensure a high standard of customer experience throughout the sales cycle and post-sale.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Handle client concerns efficiently by coordinating with relevant internal departments for resolution.

Marketing & Brand Visibility:

  • Execute marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and market penetration across channels.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, exhibitions, trade fairs, and networking forums.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop campaigns, marketing materials, and promotional content.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities.

Reporting & Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Track performance against targets and proactively recommend strategies for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Estate Management, or a related field.
  • 2 – 4 years of proven, hands-on sales and business development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least one of our core sectors: Oil & Gas, Real Estate, Commercial Sales, Retail, FMCG, or B2B Business Development.
  • Verifiable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and deal-closing skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Confident networker with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
  • Good understanding of customer acquisition, retention, and account management strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM tools is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical thinker who can identify business opportunities and translate them into revenue.

Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 Monthly Basic + Competitive Commission.
