Benin Electricity Distribution Plc. (BEDC) is one of the retail electricity distribution companies licensed by the federal government Benin Electricity Disco ("BEDC” or "Benin Disco”) is one of the successor distribution companies (Discos) created following the unbundling and privatization of the state-owned Power Utility, Power Holding Company of Nigeria Plc. BEDC is responsible for retail distribution of electricity in Delta, Edo, Ekiti, and Ondo States with geographical coverage of 55,770 square kilometers. The company operates from twenty five (25) business districts with approximately 350 offices located across the four (4) states with about 13 million people and about 4 million households.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Billing Officer

Location: Benin, Edo

Job Description

• Data entry into the Billing System (Payment, Adjustment, meter readings)
• Ensure accurate bill generation and printing within approved timelines.
• Management Of customer information database in the billing system.
• Commercial and data-driven advisory support to regions.
• Generation Of Management and Engineering tokens.
• Resolution of vending-related issues.
• Generation Of compensation tokens.
• Conducting pre-billing review with the Business Units and regions.
• Management of Customer Records Maintenance Document (CRMD), Customer 
• Accounts Adjustment Document (CAAD).
• Generation of post-billing reports for BUs and regions.
• Provide first-level support to all Agency Channels on technical and financial concerns.
• Track the agency channel's revenue collection and sales performance within all BEDC franchise states.
• Facilitate resolution of technical and transaction-related issues across all agency channel platforms with Backend.
• Monitor and manage all agency collection-based wallets to ensure adequate funding. -
• Monitor daily uptime across all agency channels to ensure operational continuity.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to the line manager.
• Any other function that may be assigned by the line supervisor.

Requirements

• B.Eng. / BSc / HND in Computer Science/ Engineering, and Analytical Sciences Degree
• 0—2 years Of experience in the role or related roles.
• Strong understanding of the power sector value chains.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong data interpretation and reporting skills (Microsoft Office tools, Power Bl).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
