We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HVAC Technician

Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time (On-site)

Role Summary

  • The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of HVAC systems and equipment within the factory, including fan coil units and domestic air-conditioning units, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance of HVAC systems.
  • Inspect, clean, and service HVAC systems in accordance with the Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and prepare maintenance reports and maintenance history logs for HVAC systems.
  • Ensure the efficient maintenance of AHUs (Air Handling Units), plant, and equipment to achieve the desired temperature and relative humidity (RH%) within the factory.
  • Operate chillers, air handling units, chilled water pumps, split air-conditioning units, and package units to ensure effective cooling within the factory, while maintaining accurate operational logs.
  • Adhere to safety procedures related to maintenance and engineering activities.
  • Participate in maintenance safety training and provide guidance to engineering team members.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • City & Guilds certification in Air Conditioning Systems.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HVAC systems.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound knowledge of the mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to install and interpret HVAC system drawings.
  • Ability to use specialized HVAC tools such as multimeters and welding equipment for day-to-day maintenance activities.
  • Ability to install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment.
  • Relevant technical certification or trade qualification (e.g., NABTEB or City & Guilds).
