Role Overview
- We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
- We are looking for a driven professional to oversee operations, strengthen compliance frameworks, and lead portfolio and fund management strategies across multiple asset classes.
- The COO will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the firm’s growth and investment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall operational leadership across Ploutos Asset Management’s investment and business functions
- Oversee portfolio management operations across multiple asset classes, ensuring efficiency and performance alignment
- Ensure full regulatory compliance with SEC requirements and other applicable capital market regulations (Securities and Exchange Commission (Nigeria))
- Design and implement robust internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks
- Drive operational strategy in alignment with the firm’s growth objectives and investment mandate
- Supervise trade processing, settlements, reconciliations, and fund administration processes
- Lead cross-functional teams including operations, compliance, finance, and client servicing
- Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Support executive management in strategic planning, budgeting, and business expansion initiatives
- Ensure high standards of reporting, regulatory filings, and stakeholder communications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, custodians, auditors, and other market stakeholders
- Identify and implement technology and process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness
Requirements
- SEC-licensed sponsored individual
- 8–10 years’ experience in asset management, banking, or investment operations
- Strong leadership capability with a proven track record in operational and compliance management
- Experience managing multi-asset portfolios is an added advantage
