Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and strategic SPV Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial management of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) in Nigeria.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, treasury management, statutory compliance, financial reporting, risk management, and supporting the achievement of the SPV's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial operations of the SPV, ensuring sound financial management and governance.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the Company's business objectives.
  • Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Oversee cash flow, treasury, banking relationships, and working capital management.
  • Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Monitor project costs, financial performance, and profitability.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to the Board of Directors and senior management.
  • Support contract negotiations, financing arrangements, and investment decisions.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CA is mandatory.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration is an advantage.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Previous experience as CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance within an SPV, Oil & Gas, Marine, EPC, Infrastructure, or Project Finance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate finance, taxation, treasury, financial modelling, and internal controls.
  • In-depth understanding of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience in project finance, joint ventures, and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Experience managing finances for large-scale infrastructure or oil & gas projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support strategic business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multinational stakeholders, investors, and financial institutions.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound business judgment.
