Job Title: Business Development Officer

Role Overview

  • We are seeking a high-energy, results-oriented Business Development Analyst (BDA) to join our growing sales team.
  • This is a fundamental sales role focused exclusively on the front-end of the sales funnel.
  • Your mission is clear: identify, engage, and qualify potential prospects through aggressive outbound activities.
  • As a BDA, you will thrive on the "hunt," bridging the gap between initial cold contact and a qualified discovery meeting.
  • We are looking for a candidate with a background in B2B sales development who can expertly drive leads from a cold state to a warm handover.
  • This role is ideal for someone who is process-driven, resilient, and motivated by high-volume lead generation.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Outbound Outreach:

  • Execute high-volume cold calling campaigns to introduce our solutions to key stakeholders.
  • Craft and send personalised, persuasive cold emails to break through the noise of target inboxes.
  • Utilise diverse outreach procedures, including social selling and multi-channel follow-up sequences.

Pipeline Management:

  • Develop and maintain a robust lead pipeline, ensuring a consistent flow of prospects at various stages of engagement.
  • Monitor and report on "pipeline health," identifying bottlenecks in the qualification process.
  • Maintain meticulous records in the CRM to track all interaction history and prospect data, ensuring no lead falls through the cracks.

Qualification & Discovery:

  • Navigate the sales process from the initial "cold" touchpoint to a "warm" handover.
  • Conduct initial screening conversations to determine prospect fit, pain points, and budget authority.
  • Successfully drive conversations toward the ultimate goal of scheduling a formal Discovery Call.

Strategic Handoff:

  • Collaborate closely with senior Business Development Managers and Account Executives.
  • Ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads to the closing team, providing detailed briefings on the prospect’s needs and context.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven Experience: A demonstrated track record in outbound sales environments, specifically regarding cold calling and email prospecting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience using sales CRM tools, cold emailing platforms, and proposal writing.
  • Sales Literacy: A deep understanding of the sales development lifecycle and experience managing a high-velocity lead funnel.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to turn a cold interaction into a meaningful conversation; high resilience and the ability to handle objections professionally.
  • Process-Oriented: A disciplined approach to outreach and the ability to follow structured lead management workflows.
  • Aggressive Sales Drive: High confidence and a results-oriented mindset.

Salary
N150,000 monthly + Commission.
