Job Title: Store Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Store Officer to manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of materials, spare parts, products, and consumables.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock management, supporting operational efficiency, and safeguarding company assets while complying with inventory control policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods, materials, spare parts, and equipment against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Ensure all received items meet quality and quantity specifications before acceptance into inventory.
  • Organize and maintain the store to ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Issue materials, spare parts, and supplies to authorized personnel in accordance with approved requisitions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock movements in the inventory management or ERP system.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock, slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and periodic physical stock verification to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to minimize stock variances.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and Service teams to ensure timely availability of inventory.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage, deterioration, theft, or loss of inventory.
  • Monitor the shelf life and expiration dates of applicable materials and ensure timely utilization or disposal.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports, stock movement reports, and reconciliation reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company inventory control procedures, health and safety regulations, and housekeeping standards.
  • Support internal and external inventory audits by providing accurate records and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes, storage efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Safeguard company assets and ensure restricted access to store facilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in storekeeping, inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics, home appliances, retail, manufacturing, or distribution industry is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software is an advantage.
