Job Title: Head Retail & Social Media
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
Retail Operations:
- Coordinate promotions, product launches and in store campaign
- Monitor market trends and competitors activities
- Develop action plan to improve underperforming products
- Oversee and manage daily operations at the retail store to ensure efficiency and excellent customer experience.
- Develop and implement retail strategies to grow in-store sales, foot traffic, and customer loyalty.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and liaise with the distribution team to ensure product availability.
- Set and track retail sales targets; analyze performance data and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise retail staff to maintain a high-performing store team.
- Ensure the retail store maintains brand standards in presentation, merchandising, and customer service.
Social Media & Digital Engagement:
- Develop and execute a social media content calendar across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn, Tik-tok and whatsapp channel.
- Create and curate engaging content — posts, reels, stories, and promotions — that reflects the organistion’s brand voice.
- Grow the company's social media following and increase engagement through targeted campaigns and community management.
- Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and audience insights to inform content strategy.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to align online campaigns with in-store promotions and product launches.
- Respond to customer inquiries and feedback on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
Reporting & Collaboration:
- Prepare regular reports on retail sales performance, social media metrics, and campaign outcomes for the Head of Marketing.
- Collaborate with the procurement and sales teams to support market expansion initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve the retail customer journey and digital touch points.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Must have 3–5 years' experience in retail management, with exposure to social media marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage retail teams and drive sales performance.
- Hands-on experience managing brand social media accounts with measurable results.
- Experience in publishing, books, education, or consumer goods retail is an added advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong retail operations and people management skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, content creation tools, and basic analytics (Meta Insights, Google Analytics, etc.).
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and brand representation skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to translate marketing activity into measurable sales results.
- Highly organized, creative, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Canva or basic design tools is an advantage.
