The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) believes the Bible is for all Nigerians. Traditionally, the work of the BSN is to make the Bible available and affordable. The Society has come to see that provision of the printed text, however well-presented, is only a part of the task. To achieve the most effective and meaningful distribution, the BSN also recognizes the need to develop programmes, using all forms of media to stimulate and facilitate encounter with the biblical text in Churches and public places. We actualize our mission through five major functions, namely: Translation, Publishing, Distribution, Programmes and Fundraising.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production & Programmes Officer

Location: Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Managing shipping documentation.
• Proper filing, both physically and electronically.
• Good knowledge of international trade.
• Ensuring all Bibles being shipped are covered by marine insurance.
• Conducting the Bible Competition from Area to the National levels.
• Initiating and coordinating programs and activities at all levels of the BSN administrative structure.
• Organizing workshops and seminars for Area Officers and youth leaders of churches and para-church organizations.
• Collaborating with Christian and secular youth organizations to promote the relevance of the Bible.
• Encouraging the distribution of Scripture among young people.
• Speaking at youth camps and conferences as a representative of BSN.
• Working with Area Youth Officers to implement youth programs and activities at the area level.

Personnel Specification

• Must hold an HND or B.Sc Degree in Social Sciences or Humanities.
• Membership of a professional body is an advantage.
• 3-5 years of professional experience.
• The candidate must be numerate, highly organized, and quick.
• They should be energetic, attentive to detail, honest, and able to maintain confidentiality.
