Job Title: Manufacturing, Transformation & System Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract to December 2027

Description

• We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Transformation & Systems Manager to lead its transition into a scalable, systems-driven organization.
• This strategic role focuses on building and implementing operational systems, manufacturing processes, quality and safety frameworks, digital tools, performance management systems, and organizational structures that reduce founder dependency and support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational systems, policies, and procedures.
• Establish organizational structures, job descriptions, KPIs, and performance management frameworks.
• Build a centralized manufacturing knowledge base covering standards, processes, suppliers, quality, and safety.
• Implement product development systems including 3D design, BOM management, costing, revision control, and product lifecycle management.
• Develop a digital costing and estimating system to improve quotation accuracy and turnaround times.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives, including AI-enabled solutions for design, estimating, documentation, and project tracking.
• Establish quality management systems, inspection procedures, and non-conformance tracking.
• Implement health and safety policies, training programs, and incident reporting systems.
• Assess, recruit, train, and develop talent while creating succession plans.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• 8 - 12 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated experience in steel fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing.
• Experience developing and implementing operational systems and procedures.
• Strong background in process improvement and operational excellence.
• Experience implementing ERP, MES, digital manufacturing, or business management systems.
• Proven leadership and people-development experience.
• Strong documentation, project management, and change management skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in CNC-driven manufacturing environments.
• Lean Manufacturing certification or implementation experience.
• Six Sigma or continuous improvement training.
• Product development and engineering systems experience.
• Experience implementing AI-enabled business solutions.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety systems.
• Experience leading transformation or turnaround initiatives.
