We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records of Daltior International, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, monitoring cash flow, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, and providing financial support for effective business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
  • Manage the company's cash flow and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor income and expenditure to ensure financial accountability.
  • Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.

Cash & Revenue Control:

  • Verify daily sales reports from the restaurant, bar, and other business units.
  • Reconcile POS, bank transfers, and cash payments.
  • Monitor petty cash and ensure proper documentation of all expenses.
  • Ensure all revenue is properly accounted for and deposited.
  • Investigate and report any discrepancies in cash handling.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

  • Prepare departmental budgets.
  • Monitor operational expenses against approved budgets.
  • Recommend cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
  • Track inventory costs and monitor wastage.

Payroll Administration:

  • Prepare monthly payroll.
  • Calculate statutory deductions, including PAYE and pension (where applicable).
  • Process staff salaries accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records and salary schedules.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure timely remittance of PAYE, VAT, WHT, and other statutory obligations.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Prepare financial documents for external auditors and regulatory agencies.

Inventory & Asset Control:

  • Monitor stock movement and valuation.
  • Conduct periodic stock reconciliation with the storekeeper.
  • Maintain the company's fixed asset register.
  • Report inventory shortages or losses.

Internal Control:

  • Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls.
  • Monitor compliance with company financial policies.
  • Prevent fraud, theft, and financial irregularities.
  • Conduct periodic internal financial reviews and audits.

Banking & Financial Transactions:

  • Process bank deposits and withdrawals.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Maintain good relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all financial transactions.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documents.
  • Ensure confidentiality of financial information.
  • Archive accounting documents in accordance with company policy.

Reporting
Prepare and submit:

  • Daily Sales Reports
  • Weekly Financial Reports
  • Monthly Management Accounts
  • Petty Cash Reports
  • Bank Reconciliation Reports
  • Payroll Reports
  • Tax Schedules
  • Budget Performance Reports
  • Year-End Financial Statements.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree with 2 - 5 years experience.
