Job Title: Supply Chain Management Advisor - Inventory

Job Summary
- The Inventory Advisor is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving Tamrose's inventory management framework to ensure optimal stock availability, inventory accuracy, cost optimization, and operational readiness across all business units.
- The role provides inventory governance, analytical support, warehouse optimization, inventory reporting, and controls to ensure that materials required for vessel operations, maintenance activities, and corporate operations are available when needed while minimizing inventory carrying costs and stock losses.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning & Control:
- Establish minimum, maximum and reorder stock levels.
- Recommend stocking strategies.
- Implement ABC inventory analysis.
- Optimize reorder quantities.
- Reduce stock-outs.
Warehouse Operations:
- Coordinate inventory movements.
- Ensure proper receiving procedures.
- Improve warehouse efficiency.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance.
- Improve warehouse housekeeping standards.
- Support HSE compliance.
Inventory Accuracy:
- Support periodic stock counts.
- Investigate stock variances.
- Perform inventory reconciliations.
Marine & Engineering Inventory:
- Manage critical marine vesselspare parts.
- Monitor vessel consumables.
- Support maintenance planning.
Procurement Support:
- Validate inventory before purchase requests.
- Support sourcing decisions.
- Support demand planning.
ERP / Systems Management:
- Ensure accurate item coding.
- Maintain inventory databases.
- Ensure data integrity.
Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure strict compliance with company procedures.
- Support all detailedaudits.
- Support internal audits.
- Participate in SCM improvement projects.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management or related discipline.
- Professional certification preferred: CIPS, CILT, APICS/ASCM, ISM, NIM, ICAN is an added advantage
- 5–10 years progressive experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain, Marine Logistics Oil & Gas, Engineering Services, Industrial Operations
- Experience managing high-value technical inventory is essential.
- Experience supporting ERPsystems preferably SAGE X3 is highly desirable.
- Marine/offshore inventory experience is an added advantage.
