We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Diesel Engine Specialist

Location: Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary
Safety and Operations Management:

  • In charge of performing work as described in the Work permit and ensuring that:
    • The risks and safety precautions highlighted in the work permit are well understood.
    • Check the place for any additional risks not identified in the work permit and report to his supervisor/superintendent any hazardous deviation.
    • Perform pre-job meeting, check that the tools and PPE are in good condition,
    • Check that all required authorisation to perform the job are granted,
    • Ensure that Site Standing Instruction, Site Operating Procedure, and additional operating procedures such as SIMOPS are known by the team and enforced,
    • Ensure that cleaning is done after completion of the work and the place is left safe. - Stop any hazardous situation and immediately report to the site RSES and the Comm. Electric Leader (superintendent) / supervisor

Commissioning Preparation:

  • Supervise the Witnessing of pre-commissioning activities by the team of technicians, as defined by the supervisor.
  • Ensure that the witnessing is made in a professional way; evaluate the skills of the people performing the pre-commissioning. Ensure that witnessing activities do not delay activities more than necessary.
  • Assist vendors during SAT as required by supervisor.
  • Assist the supervisor for site verification to validate RFC dossier. Raise additional punch list items which are not recorded and report any non-conformity to his Comm. Instrument Leader (superintendent)
  • In general, assist his supervisor during commissioning preparation such as tools preparation, commissioning working dossier, etc.

Commissioning execution:

  • Perform the Control/Commissioning/Trouble-shooting activities of the generator with respect to the WP in a professional manner, in accordance with company specifications.
  • Raise and clear punch List items. Report any non-conformity to the supervisor.
  • Fill Commissioning test and check sheets before supervisor’s review.
  • Draft mark-up “as-commissioned” drawing/documents whenever necessary and submit to the supervisor.
  • Transfer operation and maintenance of FPSO systems to the company

Reporting and progress follow-up: 

  • Provide daily activities reporting to the Supervisor

Requirements

  • Degree in Instrument Engineering 
  • Over 6 years experience of Instrument commissioning engineer in the delivery of development projects 
  • 6 years relevant experience in similar role 
  • Knowledge of Instrument: safety, wiring, protections, rules, etc 
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills 
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment 
  • Full understanding of the history of FPSO Instrument systems since dedicated RFCC.
