Job Title: Sales Engineer

Job Summary
- The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales of solar energy solutions by combining technical expertise with customer relationship management.
- The role involves assessing customer energy needs, designing suitable solar solutions, preparing technical proposals, and overseeing or carrying out solar system installations to ensure quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
- The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in solar photovoltaic (PV) installation, excellent technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to convert customer requirements into practical renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for residential, commercial, and industrial solar solutions.
- Conduct client meetings to understand customer energy requirements and project objectives.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals, conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
- Negotiate with prospective clients and support contract closure.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve assigned revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Conduct energy audits and load analysis.
- Design solar photovoltaic systems based on client requirements.
- Recommend appropriate solar components including panels, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, and protection devices.
- Interpret electrical drawings and prepare system layouts where necessary.
- Ensure all proposed solutions comply with relevant electrical and safety standards.
- Lead or participate in the installation of solar PV systems.
- Ensure installations are completed within agreed timelines and company quality standards.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and provide corrective actions.
- Respond promptly to technical inquiries from clients and provide after-sales technical support.
- Conduct periodic maintenance inspections when required and resolve customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of Proven experience in technical sales or engineering support.
- Experience with residential, commercial, and industrial solar projects.
- Experience preparing technical proposals and quotations.
Salary
N200,000 per month.
