EME Foundation is a youth-led non-governmental organization that focuses on equipping marginalized populations and underserved communities to curb the prevalence of adverse childhood experiences (ACE) through an inclusive educational model which is instrumental to bridging the gap and changing the narratives on gender roles and stereotypes, sexual reproductive health and rights and mental health education thereby changing the trajectory in gender roles and issues related to mental wellness.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Programmes Volunteer

Locations: Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan - Oyo, Ado-Ekiti - Ekiti, Akure and Ondo Town - Ondo, and Oshogbo - Osun

Key Responsibilities

  • Programmes Volunteers support the planning and execution of our initiatives, ensuring smooth coordination of workshops, outreach events, and advocacy campaigns.
  • They also assist with logistics, including picking up and delivering materials for programme activities.
  • Conduct surveys, including administering questionnaires, in schools and communities for programme evaluation.
  • Assist with the planning, logistics, and implementation of programmes.
  • Support event coordination, volunteer management, and documentation.
  • Contribute to community engagement and partnership-building efforts.
  • Pick up and deliver materials for workshops, outreach events, and distributions.
  • Participate in fundraising efforts to support the Foundation’s initiatives.

Who Can Apply

  • Individuals with strong organisational and problem-solving skills;
  • Those interested in programme coordination, event planning, and advocacy; and those comfortable handling logistics.
  • Experience in community engagement, project management, or administrative tasks is welcome but not required.

Note

  • Volunteers are expected to be available two days per month on-site for physical activities and to participate in weekly online activities.
  • We do not offer volunteering opportunities that are exclusively online or only on weekends.
  • All volunteer commitments require some weekday and weekend onsite participation.
  • As much as we would like to, volunteering with The EME Foundation is unpaid, and no monetary compensation or transport allowances are provided. 
  • To maintain uniformity and ensure all volunteers are properly identified during official duties, accepted volunteers are required to purchase The EME Foundation's official membership T-shirt.
  • The cost is N7,000 for volunteers in Abuja and N6,000 for all other locations.
  • Payment is only required after a successful application, and flexible installment plans are available.
