Job Title: Section Engineer

Location: Osun

Position Summary

• The Section Engineer bridges the gap between project design and execution.
• You will manage a designated section of the construction site, supervising site engineers and sub-contractors to guarantee that works are executed safely, on schedule, and in perfect alignment with structural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily construction activities for the assigned section, ensuring adherence to method statements, structural designs, and approved IFC drawings.
• Verify lines, levels, and structural alignments established by the surveying team before pouring concrete or advancing works.
• Monitor the efficient allocation of labor, materials (especially concrete volume optimization), and plant equipment to avoid downtime.
• Prepare daily and weekly engineering progress reports, tracking actual progress against the project’s master schedule.
• Supervise and sign off on works completed by sub-contractors, managing variations or deviations immediately.

Requirements

• HND/BSc Civil Engineering, MSc/Certification in Project Mgt. B.Sc./HND in Civil Engineering. COREN certified.
• COREN registration or NSE membership is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of active site engineering experience on major civil, road, or structural concrete projects in Nigeria.
• Mastery of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and interpretation of complex structural reinforcement layouts.
