Job Title: Project Manager - Operations (MAP)

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the establishment of Turbo Energy's Ibadan branch and managing all operational activities related to the Meter Asset Provider (MAP) business.
  • The role involves project planning and execution, stakeholder management, regulatory compliance, team leadership, operational excellence, and ensuring timely meter deployment while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • The successful candidate will serve as the company's representative in Ibadan and will be accountable for delivering business objectives, operational efficiency, and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities
Branch Establishment:

  • Lead the successful setup and operationalization of Turbo Energy's Ibadan office.
  • Coordinate office acquisition, fit-out, logistics, and operational readiness.
  • Develop implementation plans for branch commencement.
  • Establish operational processes, reporting structures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and resource allocation.

Project Management:

  • Develop and implement detailed project plans for MAP operations.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Prepare regular project performance reports for management.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent projects relating to meter installations.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations.
  • Coordinate meter installations, replacements, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Monitor inventory and logistics for metering equipment.
  • Optimize operational workflows to improve productivity.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with:
    • Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC)
    • Customers
    • Contractors
    • Vendors
    • Government agencies
    • Community stakeholders
    • Regulatory authorities
  • Represent Turbo Energy during meetings and project engagements.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, supervise, and develop branch personnel.
  • Set departmental KPIs and performance targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with:

  • Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) guidelines
  • MAP Regulations
  • Company policies
  • Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) standards
  • Quality Management procedures

Financial Management:

  • Prepare operational budgets.
  • Monitor project expenditures.
  • Control operational costs.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of company resources.
  • Support revenue assurance initiatives.

Risk Management:

  • Identify project risks.
  • Develop mitigation strategies.
  • Escalate critical issues to management.
  • Ensure business continuity planning.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure timely meter deployment.
  • Resolve customer complaints.
  • Monitor service delivery standards.
  • Improve customer satisfaction levels.

Reporting
Prepare periodic reports covering:

  • Project status
  • Branch performance
  • Operational metrics
  • Budget utilization
  • Risks and issues
  • Installation progress
  • KPI achievement

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The Project Manager will be evaluated based on:

  • Successful establishment of the Ibadan branch within agreed timelines.
  • Percentage of project milestones achieved on schedule.
  • Meter installation targets achieved.
  • Customer satisfaction ratings.
