An expert company and specialist in providing Extra Low Voltage solutions such as electronic security solutions, fire safety protection systems, Data Networking, Network Security and Information technology solutions, Building Management System, Communications systems and renewable energy solutions.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Project Engineer

Location: Ikeja - Oniru, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Assistant Project Engineer supports the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of Solar Power Systems and ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) projects.
  • These include CCTV, Fire Alarm, Access Control, Digital Signage, PA/Background Music, Structured Cabling, Building Automation, Telecommunication/Computer Networking solutions.

Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination:

  • Assist in developing project schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and execution plans for solar and ELV installations.
  • Monitor project progress and report deviations from plans to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Technical Support & Implementation:

  • Interpret solar PV, ELV, building automation, network design, and other drawings; Provide clarification to site teams.
  • Supervise and implement the installation and testing of solar PV systems (modules, inverters, batteries, BOS wiring).CCTV & Access Control (camera alignment, access readers, control panels).Fire Alarm Systems (detectors, call points, panels, loop testing).Digital Signage (display mounting, content integration, calibration).PA/BGM Systems (speakers, amplifiers, sound balancing).
  • Building Automation Systems, Structured Cabling & Networking (fiber and copper terminations, rack installations, patching, switch/router configurations).
  • Any other assigned tasks implementable within the Company’s Engineering/Technical Department
  • Support system integration testing and commissioning for automation, networking,and multi-system interoperability.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare site diaries, daily/weekly progress reports, and material usage logs.
  • Develop and update as-built drawings, BOMs, test reports, commissioning
    certificates, and O&M manuals.
  • Support the preparation of HSE documentation and compliance checklists.

Quality Assurance & Safety:

  • Conduct routine quality checks on installations (wiring, labeling, terminations, system
    performance).
  • Ensure installations meet international standards (IEC, NFPA, TIA/EIA, etc.) and
    client specifications.
  • Enforce HSE policies, ensuring safe working practices for electrical and network
    installations.

Commissioning & Handover:

  • Support end-to-end commissioning for:
    Solar PV (performance ratio tests, inverter synchronization, monitoring setup).ELV/Networking Systems (device testing, system calibration, functional verification).
  • Assist in preparing handover packages (as-built docs, manuals, training for client’s
    O&M team).

Requirements

  • Minimum of an HND in Electrical/Electronics, Renewable Energy, or Computer
    Engineering or related field.
  • 3–4 years in Renewable Energy (Solar), ELV, building automation, and
    networking projects. AutoCAD for drawing interpretation (Usage will be an added advantage)
  • MS Project/Excel for scheduling
  • Basic networking tools (Fluke tester, Wireshark knowledge is an advantage)
  • Solar design software (e.g., PVsyst) is an added plus
  • Solid understanding of solar PV, ELV, BAS, and networking systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and integration skills
  • Effective communication and documentation ability
  • Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams under pressure.

Salary
N200,000 - N350,000 per month.
