Job Title: Project Control / Planning Engineer

Role Overview

  • The Project Control/Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure efficient project execution within the oil and gas sector.
  • The role requires a detail-oriented professional skilled in project planning tools and experienced in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and manage project schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
  • Track project progress, monitor key milestones, and report performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to align timelines and deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain project control documents including budgets, forecasts, and progress reports.
  • Develop and implement project control procedures, tools, and templates to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Analyse project data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks; provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Support cost control, resource planning, and risk management activities.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10years of proven experience in project control or planning within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6,Microsoft Project, and other relevant project management tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to interpret project data and prepare detailed progress reports.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, cost control, and scheduling best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
