We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Executive (Open Market)

Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Sales Executive (Open Market – Lagos) is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market coverage, and increasing product availability across assigned open market territories in Lagos.
  • The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing distributor and wholesaler relationships, ensuring excellent execution at the market level, and achieving revenue and distribution targets while strengthening ReelFruit's market presence.

Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Expansion:

  • Identify and onboard new wholesalers, distributors, sub-distributors, and retail customers within assigned territories.
  • Develop and execute territory coverage plans to increase product penetration and market share.
  • Prospect and convert new business opportunities to achieve sales growth.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key market stakeholders.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate product solutions.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across existing accounts.

Sales Execution:

  • Conduct regular market visits to drive product availability and visibility.
  • Execute sales strategies and promotional activities in line with company objectives.
  • Negotiate pricing, trade terms, and promotional opportunities within approved company guidelines.
  • Ensure timely order generation and collection.

Product & Market Intelligence:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of ReelFruit products and product benefits.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
  • Gather customer and market feedback to support product and sales strategy improvements.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Achieve assigned daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, and territory performance updates.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify growth opportunities and address performance gaps.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure compliance with company sales policies and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service teams to ensure timely product availability and excellent customer service.
  • Support the execution of trade activations and marketing initiatives within assigned territories.

Educational Qualifications, Experience & Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or any related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience within the FMCG industry (food or snacks experience is an added advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of Lagos open markets and traditional trade channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and grow market share.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and customer-focused.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and sales reporting tools.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 / month.
