We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Gudu District, Abuja (FCT) 

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Officer to join our growing team.
  • The Accounts Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, supporting budgeting and reporting functions, and ensuring compliance with the company's financial policies.
  • The ideal candidate will support the Accounts/Finance department in managing revenue collection (including from estates and Kuje Transit Park operations), vendor payments, and periodic financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including rent, subscription, and revenue collections
  • Prepare and maintain ledgers, cash books, and financial statements
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers for vendors and contractors
  • Support preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports for management review
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding client/subscriber payments
  • Assist with payroll processing and staff expense reimbursements
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of all financial records
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Liaise with banks for transactions, deposits, and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with statutory remittances (PAYE, pension, etc.)
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the Head of Accounts/Finance.

Requirements

  • B.Sc ./ HND in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • 2–3 years' relevant experience (real estate or property management sector experience an advantage)
  • Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Excel-based systems)
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial reporting principles
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information
  • ICAN/ANAN certification (or in view) is an added advantage.
