They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The Finance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the financial activities of the Group.
  • The role ensures sound financial management, regulatory compliance, strategic financial planning, risk management, cash flow optimization, accurate financial reporting, and effective internal controls that support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Provide financial insights for business expansion and investment decisions.
  • Prepare long-term financial forecasts.
  • Advise management on financial implications of strategic initiatives.
  • Develop annual financial plans.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Produce management accounts and board reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Interpret financial reports for executive management.
  • Present financial performance analysis.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead annual budgeting process.
  • Coordinate departmental budgets.
  • Monitor budget performance.
  • Perform variance analysis.
  • Recommend corrective actions.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

  • Monitor daily cash position.
  • Optimize working capital.
  • Manage banking relationships.
  • Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure adequate liquidity for operations.

Financial Control:

  • Design and maintain internal financial controls.
  • Ensure compliance with approved financial policies.
  • Monitor expenditure controls.
  • Approve payment schedules.
  • Prevent financial leakages.

Accounting Operations:

  • Oversee general ledger management.
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely bank reconciliations.
  • Review payroll processing.
  • Monitor fixed asset accounting.

Tax Management:

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Coordinate VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT and other statutory remittances.
  • Liaise with tax consultants and regulatory agencies.
  • Optimize tax planning within legal provisions.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Coordinate external audits.
  • Lead internal audit implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Implement audit recommendations.

Risk Management:

  • Identify financial risks.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor business financial exposure.
  • Recommend insurance and financial safeguards.

Business Performance Analysis:

  • Analyze profitability by business unit.
  • Evaluate operational efficiency.
  • Monitor cost drivers.
  • Develop financial dashboards.
  • Recommend cost optimization initiatives.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise finance staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews.
  • Coach and mentor team members.
  • Build a high-performance finance function.
  • Identify training needs.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with banks.
  • Manage relationships with auditors.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities.
  • Support investors and shareholders with financial information.

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • MBA or Master's Degree in Finance is an added advantage.
  • Professional Qualification (Mandatory)

One or more of the following:

  • ACA
  • ACCA
  • ICAN
  • CPA

Experience

  • 5–7 years progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • At least 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Experience in a diversified business environment is an advantage.
