Job Title: Process / Chemical Operator

Description
- Process/Chemical Operator in our Large Volume Parenteral (LVP) infusion company is responsible for the sterile compounding, formulation, and filling of intravenous fluids.
- He ensures product sterility, maintain strict cleanroom environments, and operate advanced manufacturing equipment in cGMP compliance.
- The LVP Operator executes the formulation, filtration, filling, and sterilization of bulk intravenous solutions (e.g., saline, dextrose, Ringer's lactate) according to batch records. This role requires absolute precision to prevent contamination, ensuring that life-saving medications are safe, pure, and effective
Key Responsibilities
- Sterile Compounding: Weigh, measure, and dissolve raw pharmaceutical-grade chemicals and active ingredients (APIs) to formulate bulk batches according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor pharmaceutical production machinery, including mixing tanks, filtration systems, and automated filling and sealing lines.
- Cleanroom Protocol: Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and gowning procedures required for classified areas (e.g., Grade A/B or ISO 5/7 cleanrooms).
- Sterilization Oversight: Monitor sterilization processes (autoclaving/depyrogenation tunnels) and Clean-In-Place (CIP) or Steam-In-Place (SIP) systems
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain real-time, error-free documentation on Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and logbooks to strictly comply with cGMP and FDA/regulatory guidelines.
- Quality Checks: Perform in-process quality control (QC) tests such as pH, particulate testing, volume fill checks, and leak detection.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify and respond to process deviations or equipment malfunctions, escalating critical issues and performing routine, minor preventative maintenance.
- Safety & Environment: Handle hazardous raw materials safely, strictly following OSHA standards, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a sterile, organized workspace.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor`s Degree in Chemical Technology, Pharmacy, or a relevant Science discipline preferred. HND with proven industrial/pharmaceutical experience is acceptable.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in chemical or sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing operations (e.g., sterile injectables, LVP, or SVP).
- Knowledge: Understanding of cGMP, cleanroom dynamics, and pharmaceutical guidelines.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift weights up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong basic math and measurement skills, and ability to work in rotating shifts (including nights/weekends).
