The Nigeria French Language Village is an Inter-University Centre for French Studies, established by the Federal Government of Nigeria to cater primarily for the Language Immersion Programme of undergraduates of French in Nigerian tertiary institutions. It is an autonomous institution within the ambit of the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Job Title: Director of Works & Services

Location: Ajara-Badagry, Lagos

Description

  • The Director of Works & Services oversees the activities of the Works & Services department. He is responsible to the Director & Chief Executive Officer for the planning, development, maintenance and management of the Village's physical infrastructure and utilities.

Requirements
Candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • First Degree in Engineering / Architecture / Quantity Surveying with minimum of Second-Class Lower Division from a recognized University plus a Master's degree in addition to Computer literacy certificate plus 19 years cognate experience.
  • Candidate must have spent at least 3 years as a Deputy Director of Works in any institution of comparable status.
  • Candidate must possess 10 years post certificate registration expertence from the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) or Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) or Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (OSBRN)
  • Must demonstrate competence in project management, contract administraton, design, construction, maintenance of mechanical and structural facities
  • Working knowledge of French is an added advantage
