We are a leading Exploration & Production (E&P) company with active operatorship of prolitic oil blocks and oil and gas assets in Nigeria's Niger Delta area and we seek to engage experienced and resourcesful professionals for the position below:

Job Title: Technical Advisor

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • The Technical Advisor supports senior leadership in building and maintaining technical knowledge across the company's upstream oil and gas operations.
  • The role serves as a bridge between the operating and engineering teams and the leadership office, translating technical information into commercially relevant insights and ensuring senior leadership is fully informed on operational and development activities across the asset base.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
  • A Master's in Petroleum Engineering and/ or an MBA are a strong advantage
  • Membership of SPE or equivalent professional certification(s)..
  • 12+ years in an upstream oil and gas technical role, with demonstrable experience across both field operations and office-based technical or advisory work.
  • Experience spanning both oil and gas assets, including exposure to gas development and commercialisation, is strongly preferred.

Key Competence:

  • Solid foundation in petroleum engineering and upstream operations drilling, completions, reservoir management, and production optimisation.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge across both oil and gas development, including gas commercialisation, monetisation pathways, and the technical requirements of gas projects from wellhead to market.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and synthesise technical reports including drilling daily reports, well completion programmes, and production data.
  • Strong and demonstrable knowledge of Niger Delta operations and the Nigerian upstream regulatory environment including familiarity with NUPRC processes, JOA structures, and indigenous operator obligations.
  • Strong communication skills ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience.
  • Commercial awareness understanding of how technical decisions connect to production targets, OPEX, and asset value.
  • Integrity and discretion this role operates close to senior leadership and handies sensitive operational information.
