Hased Human Resources and Business Consultants Limited - Our client, Panpet Global Enterprise is a fast-growing food and beverage manufacturing company preparing to commence commercial operations.

Panpet has established a modern manufacturing facility for the production of bottled table water, sachet water, bread, chips and other food products, and is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-oriented professional to lead its manufacturing operations.

Job Title: General Manager, Manufacturing

Location: Owerri, Imo

Position Summary

• The General Manager, Manufacturing will provide strategic and operational leadership for the company’s manufacturing activities, overseeing factory commissioning, production, quality assurance, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and regulatory compliance.
• The successful candidate will play a critical role in building a high-performing manufacturing operation that delivers operational excellence, product quality, efficiency, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning and start-up of the manufacturing facility.
• Direct all production activities across water, bakery, and snack production lines.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC, SON, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and other applicable regulatory and food safety standards.
• Oversee Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) functions.
• Develop and implement production plans, budgets, and key performance indicators.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing manufacturing team.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce waste, and maximize equipment performance.
• Prepare and present periodic operational and performance reports to executive management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Food Science & Technology, Production Engineering or a related discipline.
• A Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in food or beverage manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in factory commissioning or manufacturing start-up projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, quality management systems, preventive maintenance, supply chain management, and food safety standards.
• Proven leadership, strategic planning, and people management skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities.

Remuneration
A competitive salary (N3,000,000 annually) and benefits package will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
