Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing to lead the production of bread, chips, and other snack and confectionery products.
• This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate food production professional who possesses practical bakery skills and experience in commercial snack manufacturing.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the day-to-day production of bakery and snack products while ensuring high standards of product quality, food safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• The ideal candidate must be capable of personally baking when required, training production staff, improving production processes, and maintaining consistent product quality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily production of bread, plantain chips, chin chin, and other snack products.
• Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet production targets.
• Participate in bread production and bakery operations where necessary.
• Supervise Bakers, Production Operators, Packaging Operators, and Production Assistants.
• Ensure consistent product quality and standardization across all product lines.
• Develop and improve recipes and production processes where required.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), and food safety standards.
• Monitor raw material usage and minimize production waste.
• Ensure proper operation and cleanliness of bakery and snack production equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Train and mentor production staff on best practices and operational procedures.

Requirements

• HND, Bachelor's Degree, or relevant technical qualification in Food Science & Technology, Food Engineering, Hospitality Management, Bakery Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' practical experience in commercial bakery and food manufacturing.
• At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Must possess hands-on experience in bread production and commercial baking.
• Must have practical experience in producing snacks such as potato chips, chin chin, and similar food products.
• Good knowledge of food processing equipment and production planning.
• Strong understanding of NAFDAC regulations, GMP, GHP, and food safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary
N1,200,000 per month.
