Panpet has established a modern manufacturing facility for the production of bottled table water, sachet water, bread, chips and other food products, and is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-oriented professional to lead its manufacturing operations.

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Owerri, Imo

Position Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join our start-up leadership team and oversee the maintenance and reliability of our manufacturing equipment and utilities.
• The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programmes to ensure maximum equipment availability, operational efficiency, and minimal production downtime.
• The role also involves supporting factory commissioning, supervising maintenance personnel, and ensuring all engineering systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Supervise the maintenance of water treatment systems, bottling lines, sachet water machines, bakery equipment, snack production equipment, packaging machines, generators, compressors, and other production machinery.
• Lead equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ensure maximum machine uptime and operational efficiency.
• Supervise Mechanical and Electrical Technicians and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Develop maintenance schedules and monitor equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Support NAFDAC inspections and ensure engineering systems meet regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• COREN registration or other relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in engineering and maintenance within the food, beverage, FMCG, water bottling, bakery, or manufacturing industry.
• Practical experience in factory commissioning and installation of manufacturing equipment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, industrial utilities, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and production equipment.
• Ability to diagnose equipment faults and implement effective maintenance solutions.
• Excellent leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Salary
N1,800,000 annually.
