Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager to establish and lead the company's Quality Management System and ensure compliance with all regulatory and food safety requirements.

About the Role

• The QA/QC Manager will provide leadership for quality assurance, quality control, laboratory operations, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance across allproductions.
• The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing the factory for NAFDAC inspections, implementing robust quality systems, and ensuring that all products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Establish and enforce quality assurance and quality control procedures across all production lines.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), and food safety standards.
• Supervise laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process materials, water, packaging materials, and finished products.
• Monitor product quality and investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformities.
• Prepare the factory for regulatory inspections, audits, and product registrations.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality records.
• Train production staff on food safety, hygiene, GMP, and quality standards.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement, Warehouse, and Sales teams to promote continuous quality improvement.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in HACCP, ISO 22000, Food Safety, or Quality Management will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the food, beverage, bottled water, FMCG, or manufacturing industry.
• At least 3 years' experience in a managerial or supervisory quality role.
• Practical experience preparing facilities for NAFDAC inspections and implementing food safety systems is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, quality management systems, and food safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
