Job Title: Level 1 NOC (Network Operating Center) Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• Provide 24/7 proactive network surveillance, identify faults, open tickets, perform basic diagnostics, and escalate incidents promptly according to defined escalation procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor network devices, links, and customer circuits using tools such as Cacti, PRTG, Zabbix, and Solarwinds.
• Detect and log faults, alarms, and threshold breaches.
• Perform first-level diagnostics (e.g., ping, traceroute, interface checks).
• Escalate issues to L2 or L3 teams following defined escalation timelines.
• Acknowledge, document, and track trouble tickets in the NOC ticketing system.
• Follow up with field teams and vendors for updates on outages.
• Ensure communication and updates are maintained throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Prepare and submit daily shift reports and network performance summaries.

Requirements / Qualifications

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in ISP or telecom NOC environment.
• Basic knowledge of IP networking, fiber, and wireless access technologies.
• Certifications: CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and multitasking skills.

Salary
N400,000 per month.
