We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Supervisor - Industrial Catering

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full Time

Description

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.) across all operations.
  • Develop and enforce HSE policies and procedures for both offshore and onshore catering activities.
  • Establish strategic goals to drive continuous improvement in QHSE performance.
  • Lead risk assessments, audits, and inspections to maintain and enhance safety standards.
  • Oversee incident investigations and ensure effective corrective action plans are implemented.
  • Manage and mentor QHSE teams, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on HSE best practices.
  • Coordinate with other department heads to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor vendor compliance for food and non-food supplies to ensure they meet quality and safety benchmarks.
  • Oversee storage conditions (temperature, humidity, hygiene) and manage refrigerated container integrity for the cold chain.
  • Supervise load-out processes and warehouse activities (including pest control, chemical storage, and fire safety).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE issues with internal and external stakeholders, including oil & gas clients.
  • Produce regular reports on HSE performance, incident management, and operational risks for senior management.

Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc. in Engineering, Food Science Tech or Environmental Sciences.
  • Certification in HSE, Food Safety (HACCP, ISO 22000), or related fields preferred.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in QHSE roles, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory capacity specifically within catering, hospitality, or remote camp environments.
  • Proven track record in managing QHSE systems across offshore/onshore logistics, warehousing, and multi-site operations.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
