We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full Time

Description

  • Supervise and review postings made by Account Officers to ensure absolute accuracy in the General Ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments while maintaining proper documentation and filing systems.
  • Conduct complex ledger reconciliations and resolve all discrepancies promptly.
  • Drive the month-end and year-end closing cycles; prepare comprehensive financial statements, reports, and schedules for the Finance Manager's review.
  • Ensure flawless execution and filing of monthly statutory compliance items in strict alignment with current Federal and State laws.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing flawless audit trails, workspace schedules, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and refining automated workflows within the company’s ERP system to eliminate data redundancies.
  • Provide technical guidance, performance assessments, and operational oversight to junior Account Officers.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • ICAN or ACCA professional certification is desired.
  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, or internal controls, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Advanced proficiency in contemporary Cloud ERP platforms and high-level MS-Excel proficiency.
  • Deep practical understanding of IFRS standards, financial controls, and current Nigerian tax updates.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities, high emotional intelligence, and excellent business communication skills.
