We are recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Technical Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo 
Duration: 6 months renewable 

Duities

  • Conduct assessment on community business opportunities for youth, women, and vulnerable populations during field visits.
  • Conduct, with support of local partners, comprehensive market assessments on various agricultural products and services.
  • Assess training facilities and schools to ensure technical adequacy and readiness for agricultural programs.
  • Conduct skill gap assessments for onboarded youth and women groups.
  • Collect field data for monitoring and evaluation activities to track program performance.
  • Support program partners in establishing a range of pilot innovations and farm enterprises run by youth and women.
  • Participate in mindset activities using advocacy and tree planting campaigns to promote technical innovation adoption.
  • Draft and compile routine field reports to document project activities, technical assessments, and the performance of pilot enterprises.
  • Perform any other job related task as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements 

  • BSc/HND in Agriculture or related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well structured environment.

  • Have strong background in agriculture or agribusiness, with data collection, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be hardworking, dependable, result-oriented, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams, including women and vulnerable groups.
  • Physically fit and willing to work in varying weather conditions, with availability for regular in-country travel.
