Job Title: Timekeeper

Locations: Ikeja & Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Timekeeper to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring employee attendance, maintaining accurate timekeeping records, and supporting payroll administration to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee work hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record employees' daily attendance, overtime, and shift schedules.
  • Verify attendance records and resolve timekeeping discrepancies.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly attendance reports.
  • Liaise with departmental supervisors on attendance and shift-related matters.
  • Provide accurate attendance data to support payroll processing.
  • Maintain records of leave, absenteeism, and overtime.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labour regulations.
  • Manage biometric attendance systems and update employee records as required.
  • Perform other administrative and reporting duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Timekeeper, Time & Attendance Officer, Payroll Assistant, or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using biometric attendance or time management systems is an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Candidate:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of shift operations, attendance management, and overtime administration.
  • Candidates should reside within or close to their preferred work location (Ikeja or Ikoyi).
