Job Title: Senior Account Executive

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to join our finance team within the manufacturing sector.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, supporting regulatory compliance, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making.
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor and control inventory accounting, costing, and stock valuation processes within the manufacturing environment.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities.
  • Analyze production costs, overhead allocations, and manufacturing variances, and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in treasury management activities.
  • Prepare and file statutory returns, including VAT, withholding tax, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee asset accounting procedures.
  • Assist management with financial analysis, business performance reporting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and implement effective financial controls and process improvements.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, banks, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in inventory management, cost accounting, and manufacturing accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Salary
N400,000 monthly.
