We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrician

Location: Calabar, Cross River
Job Type: Full time

Purpose 

  • The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across the factory and residential estates.
  • The role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, workplace safety, and minimal downtime through effective preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

The Job

  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, motors, and equipment.
  • Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on electrical systems to ensure optimum equipment performance.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and implement timely solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency power-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, company policies, quality requirements, and food safety standards.
  • Identify potential electrical hazards and proactively recommend improvements to enhance safety and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) O'Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language.
  • NABTEB or City & Guilds (C&G) Technical Certificate in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs within an industrial environment.
  • Experience working with automated production lines and manufacturing equipment will be an added advantage.

The Person must:

  • Possess strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of industrial electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Have a good understanding of electrical safety standards and procedures.
  • Be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Possess good communication and teamwork skills.
